It’s the rapper’s first solo release since she dropped her acclaimed album ‘Invasion Of Privacy’
Cardi B has shared ‘Money’, her first new solo track since the release of her album ‘Invasion Of Privacy‘.
The rapper has appeared on tracks by Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5, Lil Yachty, Pardison Fontaine, and DJ Snake since ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ landed in April 2018.
Now, the Bronx star has followed those cameos with ‘Money’, on which she quotes Black Panther (“Wakanda forever“) and raps about being a mother (“I got a baby, I need some money“). She gave birth to her first child, daughter Kulture, in July. You can listen to the track below.

Cardi B teased new music in August, saying she wanted to release a new project on September 1. “There’s about five songs that I was supposed to put on ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ but they didn’t fit and make sense,” she said in an Instagram Live video. “So I’m gonna put it on this project that I really want to put out on September 1, but I’m missing like four or five songs.”
The project didn’t materialise, with the rapper warning in the initial video that it could end up being delayed due to her workload.
Earlier this month, Cardi was arrested and charged over an alleged strip club fight after she turned herself into police. She has been accused of ordering members of her entourage to attack two bartenders at Angels Strip Club in Queens in August. The star is scheduled to be arraigned on October 29.
Yesterday (October 22), the rapper appeared in a 13-minute long ASMR video, in which she discussed the birth of her daughter and her breakout single ‘Bodak Yellow’.
